+ <p>The village of Lawy was mentioned in the 16th century as a settlement in Drohiczyn district, Grand Duchy of Lithuania. From the inventory of 1591 there were 116 houses, 9 swaths of land and 10 unoccupied swaths in the village.</p>
+
+ <p>From 1795 it was a part of the Russian Empire, Kobrin district, Slonim district, from 1797 Lithuanian, from 1801 Grodno province. The village is on Schubert's map of 1826-1840:</p>

+ <p>In 1858 the village was in the Ilowsk parish, Kobryn district, part of the estate of Poluszyn, landlord Radiewicz. There were 101 surveyed souls (state villagers) together with the villages Dubowa and Lawy. In RGIA, F. 1344 Op. 15 Д. 1395, extreme dates of March 21, 1889 - March 09, 1890, there is a record of Lawy:</p>

+ <p>In 1905 there were 5 inhabitants in the village of Lavy and 34 inhabitants in the farmstead of Lawy-Danki. During the First World War the village was burnt down. The village is on the map:</p>

+ <p>From 1921 to 1939 it was part of Poland, in Ilowsk commune, Kobryn district, Poleskie voivodeship. In 1921 there were 3 courtyards and 20 inhabitants. In 1930 there were 6 courtyards. The village is on the Polish map WIG:</p>

+ <p>From 1939 in BSSR, from 15.01.1940 in Antopol district, Brest region. From 12.10.1940 in Detkowicze village council, there were 49 inhabitants. Since 1941 the village was under German occupation. During those years partisan detachments operated in the surrounding forests. After one of the skirmishes Germans burned the village, but almost all the inhabitants managed to hide in the swamps, but one elderly woman died. Since 08.08.1959 in Drohiczyn district, 45 inhabitants, in 1970 - 46 inhabitants, in 1995 - 4 yards and 7 inhabitants. The village is on the map of the Red Army:</p>
