<p>Sorocnie is mentioned in 1783 as a village in the Pinsk district, Brest province, part of the Bezdziez key, Grand Duchy of Lithuania.</p>
<p>From 1795, it was part of the Russian Empire, in the Kobryn district of the Slonim province, from 1797 in the Lithuanian province, and from 1801 in the Grodno province.</p>

<p>In 1858, it was the center of the rural community in the Bezdziez volost, with 235 registered souls (state peasants). In 1905, there were 364 inhabitants.</p>

<p>From 1921 to 1939, it was part of Poland, in the Bezdziez gmina, Drohiczyn district, Polesie province. In 1921, there were 78 households and 445 inhabitants.</p>

<p>From 1939, it was part of the Belarus SSR, and from October 12, 1940, it was part of the Wawulicze village council, Drohiczyn district, Pinsk region. There were 102 households and 558 inhabitants.</p>
<p>In 1941, there were 83 households and 317 inhabitants.</p>

<p>During the Great Patriotic War in September 1943, the Nazis burned 79 households and killed 142 inhabitants. Ten inhabitants of the village died at the front.</p>
<p>Since 1954, it has been part of the Brest region. Since 1959, it has been part of the Gutowo village council, with 506 residents. In 1970, there were 437 residents, and in 1995, there were 98 households and 230 residents.</p>
