+ <p>The village of Halik is probably very closely connected with the history of the Dnieper-Bugs Canal, which in its time helped the settlement to grow into a village.</p>
+
+ <p>The village of Halik is marked on the military topographic map of the Russian Empire of 1846-1863:</p>

+ <p>From written sources, the village is mentioned in 1858, Wolowiel volost, part of the Jamniki rural community, Kobryn district, Grodno province. It was part of the Ludwinowo estate of the landowner Kalikst Orzeszko, and there were 26 revision souls (state villagers) in the village. In 1905 the village had 52 inhabitants. It should be noted that the village is shown on the map in one-verse:</p>

+ <p>From 1921 to 1939 in the Polish Voivodeship, Wolowiel Commune, Drohiczyn County, Polesie Voivodeship. In 1921 the village had 10 households, 65 inhabitants. The village is marked on the WIG map:</p>

+ <p>There is also a mention of the village in the geographical dictionary of the Kingdom of Poland and other Slavic countries.</p>

+ <p>Since 1939 in the BSSR, in Drohiczyn district, Pinsk region, Wolowiel volost. The village had 15 households, 123 inhabitants, there was an elementary school. From 15.01.1940 in Antopol district, from 12.10.1940 in Osipowicze village council, it had 123 inhabitants. In 1940 there were 19 households and 96 inhabitants in the village. The village is marked on the map of the Red Army:</p>

+ <p>During the Great Patriotic War in July it was burned down by Nazi invaders, 22 inhabitants were shot. In 1960 the village had 81 inhabitants, in 1970 - 66, in 1995 - 7 yards and 17 inhabitants.</p>
